[edit] Multilingual Mediawiki

Question: What is planned concerning the different languages for the Wiki?

  • a) A Setup for Wiki Family. Look here: Wiki_family
  • b) All languages in one Wiki. That to switch must be regulated over a quite complicated template. In addition the installation of the Extension "parser-functions" would be necessary. --MadEddy 13:33, 6 March 2007 (PST)

[edit] Trouble Understanding - getting started

The following is in some AVISYNTH documentation: ++ For testing create a file called test.avs and put the following single line of text in it:

Version

Now open this file with e.g. Windows Media Player and you should see a ten-second video clip showing AviSynth's version number and a copyright notice. ++ This is quite clear. Simple. But it doesn't work.

I'm interested in learning as much as I can about video editing, and have been using AE, Premier, Vegas, and so forth. I really want to get a little closer to what's actually going on.

If I have misunderstood the above instructions, I am in a different world. I want to start from square one, but this is quite discouraging.

Any comments, suggestions, insults? I think AVISYNTH is great!!!

What do you mean when you say it doesn't work? What happens if you open the file test.avs (or whatever you called it) with mplayer2.exe? Wilbert
