Dang, there's a lot out there, and even looking through there I could identify a bunch of missing stuff. Do you think field order would better go in adjustment?--Foxyshadis 18:46, 22 January 2006 (EST)

Thanks for the additions! There's a huge amount out there... this was mostly put together from the WarpEnterprises list, and at some point I'll go through Wilbert's sticky, but that will still leave a lot out. I thought that I would go through the 'Reversal' categories (what's the best thing to call these?) and try to flesh them out one by one, since they're requested relatively often in the Usage Forum. Beyond that, I guess we'll just have to rely on people to point out omissions.

Field order in adjustment -- good idea, done. --Clouded 14:32, 23 January 2006 (EST)

Hmm, I was wondering if there's any defined format for links to filters. Is everything just going to be the logical FilterName, not just internals? I'm not sure if there's any conflicts, but perhaps put author name after if so. (Ah, just saw Transition.) And I think Repair or Restoration would be a good name for Reversal. I was thinking of keeping it to FilterName because I was concerned that additional information could just overwhelm the novice user -- actually I find the old FAQ filter list a bit cluttered myself. Also most forum posts, etc. refer to filters just by their name. Obviously all the additional information can be accessed by clicking on the link. If there is strong feeling in favour of additional information, I'll put it in.

Certainly resolving conflicts as you suggest is a good idea -- and has the advantage of making it very clear that certain names are ambiguous. NB I don't intend the rough classification page to be a part of the final Wiki... but it's useful to collate filters and tweak the classification system with a page like this. Actually, I should say/ask something about the final pages... when I have a little more time.--Clouded 16:00, 27 January 2006 (EST)

You know what, I just remembered Disambiguation Pages. Someone links to Transition, it'll have a page with links going to Transition(1) and Transition(2) (whatever those are). So I guess that works for that. Foxyshadis 22:23, 27 January 2006 (EST)
